St Mary's College Auckland, Hosted Jacinda Ardern for Year 13 Breakfast
St Mary’s College in Auckland hosted their traditional Year 13 breakfast and were honoured to have as guest speakers the Rt Honourable Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minster, and past pupil Leilani Tamu, Manager for Pacific Policy at the Ministry of Business and Employment.
Jacinda Adern spoke about her three hacks of life, “Saying Yes, maintain confidence, and finally don’t always listen to yourself especially if you are doubting your abilities”.
Leilani Tamu followed with an identical message stating, “you don’t have to listen to the gatekeeper, overcome negativity and persist with your dreams”. Follow your passions, do the things you love to do and that will open many pathways was the overwhelming theme for the morning.
